Premier Inn’s mattresses are made by Silentnight. They are pocket sprung and cost about £600 – £950, depending on which size you go for. But are they any good? We look at specification and warranty, and suggest cheaper alternatives.

When we tried this mattress out we concluded that it has a rating of 6/10 for firmness with 1/10 being soft and 10/10 being very firm. It has a notable bounce to it compared to a lot of modern sprung mattresses.
